Rappor has partnered with a leading UK equity investor to fuel our next phase of growth.

The multi-million-pound investment reflects confidence in Rappor’s role in helping clients navigate the planning process, advance development and infrastructure projects, and support the creation of more sustainable, equitable and resilient communities.

With BGF’s support, Rappor plans to grow its national presence organically, invest further in its people and capabilities, and explore acquisitions that complement its existing services and create added value for clients.

Adam Padmore, CEO at Rappor, said:

“We believe growth shouldn’t come at the expense of company culture—in fact, being recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work this year only reinforces how central our people are to our success. We’ve found a partner that understands the pace and nature of our growth. BGF’s backing allows us to scale sustainably. It means we can create new opportunities for our team, move faster to improve our operations, and remain deeply committed to the partnerships that set us apart.”

As part of the investment, Monica Collings OBE joins Rappor as Non-Executive Chair, sourced through BGF’s Talent Network. Monica brings experience in scaling businesses at the intersection of the energy sector and built environment, together with a recognised commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

Monica Collings, Chair of Rappor’s Executive Board, said:

“Rappor has built a genuinely distinctive position and unique culture, and I’ve been impressed by the ambition of the team throughout our conversations. Having spent my career navigating rapid change and volatility, I understand what it takes to lead a business through growth, change and complexity, and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to the Executive Board.

“I’m excited to get started and to support Adam with Rappor’s next phase of growth. It’s also been clear throughout this process what a strong and genuinely supportive partner BGF will be, and I’m looking forward to working closely with them as we take the business forward.”

Alex Garfitt, Partner at BGF, said:

“Rappor has built an excellent reputation in environmental consulting, with a clear focus on delivering high-quality service and building long-term client relationships. The business is well positioned at the front end of the planning process, where demand for specialist expertise is growing.

“With opportunities to expand geographically, broaden its service offering and pursue selective acquisitions, Rappor has a clear path for growth. We’re pleased to be backing Adam and the team as they scale the business.”

BGF, the UK and Ireland’s most active equity investor, has committed to investing more than £3 billion in UK businesses over the next five years to support high-potential companies nationwide. Its portfolio includes Hydrock, an engineering, energy and sustainability consultancy that achieved significant growth under a similarly culture-led approach.
